Vestibular Rehabilitation

  • Vestibular Rehabilitation is a form of treatment that involves specific exercises designed to promote central nervous system compensation for inner ear deficits causing dizziness, lightheadedness, and motion intolerance (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). The vestibular rehabilitation home exercise program is designed specifically to the patient’s tolerance, physical condition, and diagnosis with 85 – 90 % improvement in a few visits.

  • Rehabilitation goals for treatment include habilitation of motion provoked dizziness, improved visual motor control, enhancement of balance function and postural control, and overall increased activity levels.
