New Partner, JC Metivier!

Family, friends, colleagues and classmates...I am honored to share with you all a dream that began back in 2001. Graduating from Bucknell University with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Spanish, I began my career teaching at St. Johns College High School in D.C. and also was an assistant coach with Cabell Maddux. Moving on from a great experience, I worked in a variety of non-profit organizations all of which ended up being placeholders for a friendship with Packy Kennelly, who was my motivation to seek a career in Physical Therapy. I wanna thank Packy, Beth Anne Elliott O'Donoghue, Edison Au, Amy Engelsman, Brian Hodge, and Washington Orthopedics & Sports Medicine for allowing me to work and leave as needed to fulfill all those prerequisites.

I was fortunate to have been accepted to University of Maryland, PTRS where I as a career changer I realized I finally found my calling. There were some trying times early on for me personally at PTRS outside of school and I wanna be sure to recognize Lindsay Martin Crowell & Evan Crowell, Stacie Dugan, Alexandra Senor Lockridge for helping me stay on task in school, also Brian Treacher, Mike Florio, Mark Juelis, Nate Wallentin and Nick Berman.

The moment I met Cheryl Conrad and Josh Renzi at Spine and Sports Rehabilitation Center It was easy for me follow in their footsteps. They demonstrate what the profession of Physical Therapy should aspire to be. In my time spent learning and finally reaching fellowship status, there was one dream I had yet to fulfill and that was Ownership. As Cheryl moves into retirement after a brilliant career I am beyond honored to stand beside Josh as a Co-Owner as we move Spine and Sports Rehabilitation Center further into excellence.

Thank you Jill Metivier and Heather Metivier Lee for your support, reminding me what type of man Ron Metivier was and how he would be proud. Jared Imhoff, for all your free time to help me navigate this transaction. Lastly, I could not have done this without Rachel Metivier, she has supported me every step of the way, the countless classes I needed to fulfill, meetings, guidance, and just her ability to listen.

Here's to everyone along the way I might have missed! Cheers!

J.C.
